Orgasm is the same as getting high, what goes up must come down. If we want to defy gravity (reach new spiritual highs) with a spiritual practice, what we are trying to do is to generate a high which does not result in depletion. The results of orgasm with ejaculation can be witnessed, we often feel tired and lethargic afterwards, or hungry (grounding), and most of all some want to create space from our partner. The need for space immediately following sex unfortunately is often the ruin of many relationships. Biologically speaking men are essentially looking to move on to the next opportunity to deliver genetic material. If a bond between two individuals is heart felt and strong most any obstacle can be overcome, and infidelity is much less likely.
As for orgasm due to masturbation, we are often directing this potent sexual energy toward a fantasy or image, which will only serve to perpetuate the desire or tension we are masturbating to get rid of. Masturbation is like satisfying starvation with junk food which is empty of nutrients; our craving will not truly go away, it will only temporarily diminish. My personal experience is a strong sense of emptiness following ejaculation brought on by masturbation. A spiritual teacher once informed me that when we are having an orgasm through intercourse at least we are releasing the energy into the field of the we which has been created, however when its released during a solo conquest we release the energy into nothing, simply a void which give nothing back in return. End result is chronic imbalance in the brains biochemical reward center.
The variety of ways we can share a sexual experience is only limited by ,and is reflective of, man's creative depth. Ask yourself, Is this the kind of solution which will lead me too an improved relationships both for myself and others? This is the sort of conscientious question many, even the fervently religious, don't endeavor to ask because our sexual views are often molded by our social conditioning. Any spiritual practice dictates it is necessary to create clarity before we can become open to all that the Universe has to offer. I ask you to go beyond the research and find out how potent sexual energy is by experiencing it. Reflect on you feelings after orgasm, reflect of feelings after masturbation; and just know that science HAS shown the endocrine system in the body takes up to one month to normalize after ejaculation. Also, abstain from the "money shot" and see how different you feel; or instead of diving into the old “in and out” try caressing your partner for an extended period of time (this is the best couples therapy you can imagine). The act of stimulating an area of the body will necessary create a nervous system response; so if we are masturbating everyday the feeling will continue to rise repeatedly until the pattern is reset (one month to 40 days); the anxiousness which leads to premature ejaculation is caused by excessive nervous system stimulation in this crotch centric manner, and because of in-congruent action (not of service too higher self).
We are more than just physical bodies, we are also energy; we are both angel and the devil, we are one with God and the Universe; however that oneness (which is the real source of prosperity and joy) will be elusive if we continue to identify with the body and the mind entirely. When we start to take out the Karmic trash through meditation and Yoga / Chi Kung we are stimulating the body in a generative manner which will, through the cultivation of new resonance in the nervous system and chemical cascade in the endocrine system, create a new vibration in our entirety. This new vibration is devoid of old bothersome patterns which have held us back in the past. In the past we unconsciously participated in and perpetuated a desire, which like all desires can never be totally fulfilled. It’s also through this new vibration we gain access to higher states of awareness, clarity, and invite Joy into our lives. Tantra is not the Kama Sutra, nor does it have to do with sex directly; it simply means Union of the masculine and feminine universal energies, and of the personal self and the universal self. This union results in balance, and satisfaction of the desire to complete ourselves through sex, material wealth, or knowledge. Tantra is reached by doing something differently, it cannot be accessed by knowledge alone, only through the wisdom gained by direct experience.
